Every case of skin cancer is unique, so treatment outcomes can differ among patients. However, the images below showcase typical results observed in patients who underwent GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT) treatment.
SIMULATION
BEFORE TREATMENT
Before undergoing GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT) treatment, a patient presented with basal cell skin cancer on the top of the ear. The cancer is visible on the skin, and the ultrasound image vividly illustrates its full depth, width, and breadth beneath the skin.
MID-TREATMENT
DURING TREATMENT
Around halfway through treatment with GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT), a noticeable reduction in the size of the cancer on the skin's surface is observed. Additionally, the ultrasound image depicts a corresponding decrease in the size of the cancer beneath the skin.
2-WEEK FOLLOW-UP
AFTER TREATMENT
During the two-week follow-up visit post-treatment completion, no signs of cancer are evident on the outside of the ear. Furthermore, the ultrasound image indicates ongoing elimination of the cancer by GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT). At the 30-week follow-up appointment, the ultrasound image revealed no remaining signs of cancer.
Using X-ray energy to eradicate cancer cells prompts natural replacement with healthy tissue over time, avoiding surgical scarring or reconstructive procedures. However, there's a slight risk of skin atrophy and pigment changes at the treatment site, along with potential inflammation. Topical remedies can mitigate these effects, which typically dissipate within 2 to 6 weeks post-treatment. Additionally, temporary hair loss in the treated area is possible. Notably, in 7 years of GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT) use, there have been no reported instances of secondary skin cancers resulting from treatment.
