Do you have an ongoing problem with a rash, dry skin, redness, or other skin problems? While many skin conditions develop in direct response to a lifestyle factor (such as drying out one's hands by washing dishes), some conditions are chronic. No matter what you do and no matter which over-the-counter treatments you use, they just won't clear up.

Bradenton Dermatology & Laser Center specializes in treatments for chronic skin conditions. Our lead physician, Dr. Jack Jawitz, is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has been in practice for over 40 years. We'll work with you to determine the nature of your skin condition and develop an effective treatment.

Many of these conditions are covered by insurance, and we'll work with your policy provider and handle the paperwork. Emergency appointments are available, so call Bradenton Dermatology & Laser Center today.

Common Chronic Skin Conditions We Treat

You don't need to know the name of your skin condition to receive treatment at Bradenton Dermatology & Laser Center. We'll examine you, evaluate it, and provide our diagnosis. We care for a wide range of chronic skin conditions, including the ones most common in our area.

  • Psoriasis— A condition that causes thick, red skin and itchy, scaly patches that most commonly develop on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp

  • Rosacea— A condition that causes redness and flushing on the cheeks, nose, forehead, and other parts of the face

  • Rhinophyma— An enlargement of the nose often accompanied by redness and bumpiness

  • Perioral dermatitis— A condition characterized by redness around the mouth

  • Atopic dermatitis (eczema)—A circumstance of heightened reactivity to everyday irritants, such as dust or pollen, which causes red, itchy, dry skin and may be accompanied by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and related infections, especially in children

Treatment plans may include topical medications, oral or injectable medications, and laser treatments that use state-of-the-art technology. Your care will be personalized for your condition.

I absolutely love Leah! She has helped me so much with all of my skincare issues. Everyone in the office is very nice. I would highly recommend.
